Getting started

  Welcome Tab

To get to myMQ, point your browser to https://my.mq.edu.au.

To Log In, enter your student ID and myMQ password in the green region on the left side.

myMQ Student email services are provided by Google. Access mail after log in to the portal via the Student Communications (3rd Tab).

Watch this space for news about myMQ such as maintenance/down-time and new features.

MQ Internet Links tab

 

To access this page, or tab, click on the MQ Internet tab under the Macquarie Logo in the top left of the page.

On this page there are channels which are comprised of links to various services that are available via the mq.edu.au  public access internet sites. As these are fairly simple channels, they will not be covered in detail here.

Sign In

 

Enter your student ID and myMQ password to log in.

 

The Portal has functionality to allow you to access your information (i.e. email) from any computer connected to the Internet. Using the myMQ portal requires you to log in to gain access, it is equally important to Log Off from the system when you end you session on the computer, there is an automatic log off triggered by a 120 minute Idle time limit with your SSO session .

 

Privacy Concerns with Shared Computers
For Users who access the portal and web mail function on computers that are shared with other users, logging out and clearing browser information is critical, to fully ensure your privacy , it is important to log out and clear the private data information in the browser.
To clear data in IE, ( Tools , Delete Browsing History) on Firefox ( Tools , Clear Private Data)

 

 

 

 

Student Communications Tab

 

myMQ Student Email services are provided by Google, you can access services by clicking the Google Buttons.

On this page there are channels which are comprised of links to various services such as the News and Student Services channels.

Here you can see the latest Macquarie University announcements. It is important to look over these for recent announcements and any upcoming events that might be relevant.

This channel is where you can change your password.

Student Information Tab

 

This area contains the links (if they exist in our records) to your unit homepages, e-Reserve and WebCT.

 

There is a Co-Op bookshop text list search.

 

This area will display any exams that are currently. If no exams are scheduled, a message saying this will be displayed.

 

This area is an interface to the University handbook. From here you can search the handbook and view the most recent updates.

Events and Activities Tab

 

To access this page, or tab, click on the Events and Activities  tab under the Macquarie Logo in the top left of the page.

 

This channel displays any upcoming Macquarie events. These are the same events as displayed on the MQ homepage.
